ADOPTION PENDING – NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

Hi. I’m Tom. I’m a goofy, smart, shy guy who loves to nap under chairs.  I love to play with my foster family, but I am still learning to chew on the toys instead of their hands. I prefer if you crouch down to play with me, this makes the playing field much more fair.

I am really good at going to the bathroom outside but am still working on how to ask.  I love my crate when you’re home but I don’t like to be stuck in there when you’re not. With my foster parents home all day I haven’t had to stay in there a bunch so with time it could be a cool hang out spot.  My foster parents don’t have any other pets or kids but I have met both cats and dogs. I LOVE other dogs! I was trying to make friends with the cat but he wasn’t too nice. I am sure with a friendlier cat we would have been friends. 

I haven’t met any young kids but I am very gentle when taking treats and being held. I am very tolerant of all the nonsense my foster family does when snuggling me, so I think kids could become great playmates. I haven’t spent a lot of time going for walks but I love being outside. I’m nervous around other people and don’t trust them to get close to me but I am learning very fast that people can be my friends too. 

I am a clumsy and goofy pup who would love to make you laugh. It may take me awhile to get to know you, but with some patience, I will be your best friend for life!
