Volunteer Team

Team volunteers are volunteers who are able to commit to several hours each week.  Our volunteers are the backbone of Mutts, doing the work that allows animals to be rescued and re-homed.  If you have some time available and are interested in learning more, please send an email to [email protected] You will receive some forms, and have a chance to chat about Mutts and opportunities.

POSITIONDESCRIPTION
Raffle AdministratorRecruit and schedule volunteers to sell tickets at the community booth. Organize prizes and draws, meet with MLCA inspector, marketing. Hours: 4-6/week
Vetting AssistantFrequent email communication as primary point of contact for fosters, vet clinics and recent adopters about medical questions & concerns. Maintain accurate records for general health, medication, surgeries and Super Troopers. Work closely with partnering vet clinics and staff to book medical appointments, follow up on treatment plans and compile exam notes. Requirements: Professional communication style (written/oral), responsible, ability to understand medical and technical information. Some knowledge of animal health, general veterinary knowledge, quick learner and ability to multi-task across platforms. Computer/email/google docs knowledge, ability to access online databases and information. Hours: 15-20/week. Shared position as part of the Vetting Team with some flexibility.
Reference CheckerCompletes reference checks for potential adopters. Follows a set of questions, records responses, and updates spreadsheet with information. Hours: 3+/week with flexibility within the assigned days
