ADOPTION PENDING – NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

Hi, I’m Sugar and my name says it all!  I’m the sweetest, most loving and laid-back girl who loves nothing more than to follow around my people and take long naps with my foster brother outside on the deck.

I had a rough couple of weeks with having a large burn wound on my back and tail but I have blossomed into the cutest little girl who wants all the love from my people! The vet feels I am healing really well and will make a nice full recovery. (Ask my foster family more!) It does take me a couple of minutes to get used to new people as I am a little shy, but once I realize they are going to give me pets I am all over them. 

I am not really interested in playing with toys but I am starting to play here and there with my foster brother. I am fully housetrained and fully crate trained. However, I don’t need to be in my crate as I have never had an accident inside, I don’t chew on anything I shouldn’t, and I love sleeping on my big red dog bed! 

I am living with a doggie foster brother and I really enjoy having him around. I am a little nervous around new dogs at first but once I have a proper, slow introduction I am comfortable around them in no time! Even though I haven’t met any kids during my time in foster care I think I would love them as I am super gentle and love attention. When I first came into rescue, I stayed in a house overnight with a bunch of cats and they didn’t seem to bother me. 

I also got a brushing when I first came into care and let me tell you, I love being pampered! I went on my first couple of walks and quite enjoy it! At first, I am a little skeptical of my collar but with some treats to ensure it is safe, I am ok. I don’t pull and walk a little bit on the slower side but sometimes squirrels and rabbits make me excited. If you are ready to stop and smell the roses while on a walk, I’m your girl! 

I have had a lot of firsts while in foster care and am realizing all the amazing things life has to offer! I could not be happier and I show it with my constant tail wags. I can’t say it enough, all I want is your love and to be by your side. I want to sit with you and have you tell me how much you love me and give me pets all day, everyday! I will be your sunshine on a rainy day and ensure that you will feel loved everyday. Come meet me and let me show you that I am the perfect gal for you!
