They call me Sonata. You won’t find me on stage playing any instruments (yet) but I am a very smart girl, so who knows what I could learn! I’d love to fill your home with a symphony of cuteness, cuddles, love, and joy.

I spend my days learning important things like knowing the bathroom is outdoors and I’m getting better at it each day with encouraging reinforcement from my loving foster family. I am currently learning how to use a bell when it’s time to go outside to do my business, but, I am a work in progress and sometimes accidents happen – I’ll ace it!

Crate-training has been consistent and I am getting more and more comfortable with spending time in there. Sometimes I will briefly protest but settle down knowing this is my quiet place. At bedtime, I do very well in the crate and know this is the time when everyone else is sleeping too!

I am learning simple commands like sit and shake a paw and enjoy exercising my brain by playing with my dog puzzle toy to find hidden treats. My teeth can sometimes be used to play and learn with my human family, but toys work well with distracting me and getting me to keep my teething teeth busy!

I am very content outside exploring the world around me. There is so much to discover and I’ve been known to pick fights with dandelions and insects. Playing and hanging out in the backyard usually burns off my rambunctious energy. There are two other adult dogs that live here and one is large and the other is very small. Sometimes I enjoy some very vigorous playtime with the big dog and we happily tire each other out which leads to some well deserved nap time or sweet cuddles next to my foster peeps. The small dog is very cat-like, so I think I’d be very playful with cats too, so a house with cats shouldn’t be a problem. I haven’t been exposed to small children yet, but if you have a family with young ones, I’m expected to be great around them.

One last “NOTE”:

My style is up-tempo, and joyful like your favourite song that makes you smile, I’ll find a special place in your heart.

Love, Sonata
