Hi! I’m Marten. 

I’m a talkative and cuddly boy who loves to spend time in the sun and then relax back at home on the couch. I am excellently housetrained and haven’t had a single accident with my foster family. 

I am okay with sleeping in a crate at night, but I’d prefer to sleep with my crate in your room where I can see you sleeping safely, or in bed with you is even better. We’re unsure of whether I need to be crated when my family leaves me at home alone, but it seems like I’d be okay — although I like to be vocal when I’m left alone. 

I am good with cats (in fact I don’t care about the one who lived with me at all) and I’m really polite with other dogs. I love going for walks but need a little bit of practice on my leash — I don’t seem to like wearing just a neck collar, so I’d do best wearing a halter. I love singing along to fire trucks, and will stop when we’re out for a walk until they pass by – it’s really cute! I would do best with kids older than 5! 

I am really affectionate and would love a home where I can get a lot of cuddles and conversations, and be by your side as much as I can.

Note: I had quite a few teeth removed and may need softer food. Ask my foster mom for more info! FYI, I’m needed for an afternoon photo shoot on August 19, so I can go home anytime after that.
