Hi I’m Jerry! I am an easygoing senior boy who loves lying around and getting a good belly rub! I am completely housetrained and crate trained, although it is not necessary for me to be crated, as I’m so calm, never get into any mischief when I’m alone, and can easily pass the time with long naps. I especially would love to sleep in your room with you, as waking up next to my human makes me so happy! 

Although I am not as playful as I was in my youth, I’m gentle with children of all ages and have just recently learned how to play fetch and shake a paw! I rarely bark, but will get a little excited around other animals and whimper until I either get distracted or am invited to sniff my furry friends, in which case I will calm down shortly after.

 I LOVE being outside and going on walks – just the word “outside” gets my tail thumping! I’m quite good on a leash (especially when I get to sniff the occasional fire hydrant/pole) and am even good off leash at the lake where I just want to sniff everything and be at your side!

Overall, I am just so cuddly, loving, and relaxed and would love to lay next to you while you watch TV, in return for some ear scratches and belly rubs of course! I can’t wait to find my forever family to love endlessly! Will you take a chance on me?

“I have arthritis and an old knee injury that causes me pain. I am too old to have surgery but I do fine getting around with a slight limp. I will need to go to a home that I can call my retirement home and a family that can pay for my pain medications monthly. Please ask my foster mom about this!”
