ADOPTION PENDING – NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
I’m Jean.  I am a sweet, lovable girl who loves to be around my foster mom. She is my everything!  I am great at meeting new people, I just need to do some initial smelling of their hands and a little circling around them before I warm up completely. One of my favorite things to do around the house is to sleep or rest by your feet or in your line of sight.  This way I know where you are at all times, can pop up to get some good rubs/pets and can get to my feet quickly to follow you when you move. My foster mom calls me her shadow because she will look down and I am right by her side ready for a snack or a walk.

I am fully house and kennel trained.  I have never had an accident in the house and patiently wait for my walks. I am very good on the leash although I can get distracted by those pesky rabbits and wonderful smells but I am very reactive to redirection.  I sleep in a kennel at night.  I didn’t like it at first so I whimpered but now I am use to it and mostly go in with no issue. It’s not so bad I guess. Since my foster mom works from home I may need some extra time learning to go in the kennel for long periods during the day. However I hope with trust & guidance I can be allowed to roam the house when you are gone – which I hope is rarely.  I really love being with and around people. 

I have met people and other dogs. I am very good with people of all ages.  Even the little ones that may get a little too close. I have had many walking dates with dogs and have met dogs of all sizes on my walks.  While I may bark or whine a little at first due to uncertainty, I warm up quite quickly.  I have not met any cats yet but if they allow me to sniff them, then we will make fast friends – or at least be acquaintances!
