Hi! I am Japan!
I am a very sweet, but timid girl, who has made a lot of progress in my confidence over the past month. I am looking for a home with a confident, playful dog who can continue to teach me that the world is not such a scary place. I look to my canine foster sister for cues in new situations and I am much braver when she is around.

I am now fully vaccinated, and I LOVE to go for walks with my foster sister. I am pretty good on leash, but I still need to practice not pulling- but can you blame me, I am a puppy who is excited to explore the world!

I am also now fully kennel trained- However, my foster Mom has learned that I must be kennelled beside my canine foster sister. If my dog friend is around, I am content all day in the kennel (with a mid-day bathroom break, since I am still a baby). If my dog friend is not around….I cry and want out!

For this reason, my forever family must have another dog.

I am really good at night and most of the time I sleep through the night. I sleep in my foster’s room with her and my dog foster sister. I am allowed in one of the kennels, on the floor or in the bed. I usually pick my foster sister’s kennel.

Another thing that has happened in the past month is that I am now fully house trained. Whoo hoo! I will cry at the door when I want out. I may have a few accidents in a new environment, but I will learn quick!

I have not met any cats, but I am calm most of the time and cautious, so I think I would be good with a dog-savvy cat.

Kids….hmmm. I am not sure about them. My foster Mom has put “No kids under 6”, not because I am aggressive or anything, but because kids are unpredictable and fast and I get scared easily by those things. She doesn’t want me to go to a home where I am afraid all the of the time.  I have met a little girl- but we were both pretty shy. I did take a treat from her mom though. To be honest- I am pretty shy around most humans at first. It takes me longer than most puppies to warm up to new people, but I promise I will warm up to you- especially if you have treats! If you are a small family with calm, respectful kids I think I would do ok.

My favourite things are playing with my toys, chilling in the backyard and pestering my foster sister.

If you have the patience to earn my trust and win me over, you will be rewarded with a lovely, chill dog who loves to explore to outdoors, play with other dogs and lounge around house with you. Come meet me!
