Meet Miss Fletcher, or Nala as my foster family calls me.

Ever since coming into care Miss Fletcher had some issues with regurgitation and choking on food and water. Now that’s she’s grown a bit more, it mostly happens after drinking water. While under anesthesia for her spay, our veterinarian was able to rule out Megaesophagus and couldn’t find anything medically wrong.

She still has the potential to throw up her water if she drinks too fast, but it is managed by having her water dish raised. She will need to be kennelled when she can’t be watched to ensure she doesn’t choke on anything.

Fletcher is an energetic pup and would love an active family. She loves attention and to give kisses. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has even made friends with some goats. She has not met cats in care and would be best with kids 12 and up. She is house and crate trained, but doesn’t really like being alone. She loves car rides (although sometimes gets carsick), snuggles and belly rubs.
