Hi!! My name is Echo and you may have noticed in my pictures that I am blind!

I have adapted to being blind very well and once I know my space I become really confident navigating my surroundings. I can still bump into things when I get really excited and start moving too fast but I just want to play, I get so excited and I forget!!

New stairs can be a little scary for me at first because I don’t know where they are but once I learn them, I do great (I have never done more than 3 stairs and need lots of praise to learn even a single new step). I just need a little patience and time to build my confidence when I’m somewhere new.

My favorite thing in the world is being wherever my people are. If you’re moving around the house, I’m right behind you! If you’re sitting down, I’m probably climbing up beside you for some snuggles. I also strongly believe that your personal space is my personal space!

I’m fully housetrained and crate trained! I might need a little time to settle when I first go into my kennel but once I’m settled, I’m a quiet girl who is happy to relax.

I’m also great with dogs, cats and kids! I absolutely LOVE playing with my dog friends and especially enjoy wrestling, jumping around and being a little silly! Sometimes my excitement gets ahead of me and my chomps or jumps don’t always land where I intended… being blind certainly hasn’t stopped me from trying though.. or knowing! 😜

I haven’t gone for walks yet because I’m still finishing up my vaccines but I’m doing really well with a leash in the house and yard. My foster family has used it to help me feel comfortable and learn my way around.

One of the things I’d love most is a family who understands that I might need a little extra time to learn new places but who also sees me for what I really am.. a happy, playful, cuddly girl who just happens to experience the world a little differently.

In return I promise to follow you everywhere, keep you laughing with my terrible aim, steal approximately 97% of the bed and give you all the cuddles you could ever want.
