ADOPTION PENDING – NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
Hi, my name is Carter and I am a laid back, easy going boy who loves to explore new things.  

Food is one of my favourite things, but my foster family says that’s ok because I will do anything you want for a treat.  My foster family says even though I love food, I never get into any trouble, I simply just go and lay nearby when they are eating and have never begged once. I have even learned to wait for my food like a proper gentleman.  Toys are very fun and interesting, especially balls, I just love to roll and pounce on them.  

I am fully housetrained and have been since day 1, my foster family has been amazed at how well I have adjusted to living in a nice warm home.  I love being inside and don’t stay out too long when it’s outside time, but with warmer weather I’m sure I will learn to love being outside again.  

At night time I go into my kennel to sleep, I go in without a peep, and love to be rewarded for being such a good boy.  I am still working on my daytime crate training, I am progressing, but let me tell you I can be heard strongly voicing my opinion about being left alone.  I do settle after a period of time, and leaving me with a stuffed Kong is very helpful.  

In a very short period of time I have learned sit, down and come. My recall is very good especially for such a young pup like me.  I am good with dogs and I currently live with a human foster sister. I haven’t met a cat yet, but I’m sure with a proper introduction we could be fast friends.  

My foster family tells me I’m still to young to go on walks, I need a couple more weeks before I get all my  needles, but they have walked me around in their yard on a leash and I am doing well, but will need some more work when I can go explore the world.
