Hi. I’m Bruce! 

I’m a sweet and loving boy who is both laid back and very active. I love to play fetch and be out and about with my foster family, and have a very cute prance when I’m especially happy. 

I’m around 100 lbs and play wonderfully with my 80 lb foster brother. I love to wrestle with him and have good social skills. We eat in the same room and share toys very nicely. I know not to go on furniture and don’t beg for food. Sometimes I bump into things forgetting my size but I’m very gentle. 

I know sit, stay, shake a paw, leave it, come, out/go, and respect room boundaries if you show me I shouldn’t go somewhere. I sit and wait until I’m given permission to eat my food and am an excellent listener. My release word is “okay”. I’m a grazer and may not finish my meal in one sitting. I respect doors and know I need to sit before going inside or outside. 

I am fully housetrained and fully crate trained. I have done great out of a kennel during the day while my foster family is at work and have never chewed anything I wasn’t supposed to or really gotten into any trouble. I just snooze till they get back! I absolutely love balls, especially bouncy ones! I’m good with dogs and the couple cats I’ve met. When I’m playing with my foster brother I sometimes forget where my mouth is and might mouth something I shouldn’t like the couch or your foot. I’m working on remembering not to play right beside people. I think I would be great with dog-savvy kids who would respect my space. 

I have lots of energy and would love to have a dog sibling to play with or to go to daycare sometimes to help get my energy out. I get very excited at the start of walks and pull at first. I’ve been working on this with my foster mom and she says I’ve already improved! I respond very well to motivational treats to walk beside her. With ongoing training, I think I could be a great running buddy! 

I am very smart, teachable, and eager to please. I would love to have a committed and active owner who will go on adventures with me and who doesn’t mind my drool and fluff. I will bring you so many smiles and laughs! Am I your pup?
