Hi. I’m Bear!

I’m an easy-going, friendly boy who loves food, my foster sister, and head scratches. 

I am housetrained (though to be honest, I just follow my foster sister outside) but I am not crate trained. I eat in my kennel so I’m not afraid to go in there, but I feel too contained with the door closed – maybe a bigger one or a different style will make me feel more comfortable. I’ll try I promise! I sleep beside my foster mom in a contained area, and settle right down to sleep through the night.

I have not met many dogs besides my foster sister and my original foster family but I am so laid back that I tend to like (and lick) everybody. It didn’t take long to learn to like my foster sister and we love to wrestle and play, even though she is smaller than me. I haven’t met any cats or small kids yet. 

Since I was neutered recently, I only go on short walks and am pretty good with a harness. I pull at first because I’m just so excited to get out, but I settle into a nice pace and am not bothered by urban noise. I love a stuffed Kong, even with my cone on and I am learning it’s worthwhile to figure out what’s being asked of me to get yummy treats. I still startle a bit at sudden movements and am just learning my name. 

I haven’t been left alone much yet as my foster family has learned that I’m still a pup and like to steal shoes – they’ve put them away and I am learning to concentrate on my toys. 

I am a fun but well-mannered pup with a great temperament who would love to make you laugh with my antics and love of attention and scratches. I have the softest paws and fuzziest fur and you’ll love petting me – win-win! Will you take me home? I’d love to join your family and learn even more about how to score treats!
