Hi, I’m Umbra! I’m a very sweet, chatty lady. My favourite things are cuddles, naps, treats, and chasing toys. I’m a bit of a couch potato and love to just curl up on your lap and snooze, but if I have a willing participant I love to play fetch! I’ll even bring the ball back every time for you to throw it.

It took a few days for me to settle into my foster home, but now I basically run the place! My foster mom can give you lots of advice on the transition and help us all feel comfortable while we build up trust.  Now I cheerfully greet people with chirps and purrs when they get home from work… or running a quick errand… or re-entering a room after a brief bathroom break… or any absence at all really. And I’m good at meeting new people too! I’ll come right over and let them pet me, but I’m a little bit awkward with brand new relationships, so any new people I encounter will have to respect my boundaries and be gentle while I get to know them. For that reason, very small children might be a bit scary for me.

I know how to use the litter box (and I’d prefer the kind with high sides because I’m a digger!) and I’ve lived with cats before with no problems. But here’s the catch- I’d really really prefer a home with no dogs. They’re so energetic and that makes me a little stressed out and when I’m stressed I get cranky, same as everyone!
