Hi there, I’m Aurora and, although I’m very shy, I’m just about the sweetest little girl you’ll ever meet! Life has brought a lot of new experiences and challenges my way since I came into the care of MMDR and I am working hard to learn as much as I can! So far I’ve learned that people can be very kind and wonderful to cuddle with. I’m also starting to learn toys are fun!

One thing I’m still working on is housetraining. I’m doing really well so far, but I’m not quite 100% yet. Foster mom isn’t sure if she has me trained or I have her trained! I’m also working really hard on crate training. I’m very good in the crate when my foster family is home and I sleep peacefully in it all night, however I’m not a fan of being in there when my foster family isn’t home. I’m quite vocal about my dislike for being left alone so it would be best that I don’t live in an apartment and that my forever family is home more often than not. Foster mom says I have ‘separation anxiety’ so we’ve been working on boosting my confidence and exposure to help me feel more comfortable and confident when I’m alone. I also just started taking medication for it which seems to help take the edge off a bit. I’m doing well, but it’s definitely a work in progress so I will need a family who has experience with dogs- extra points if you have dealt with separation anxiety! Two thumbs up for my leash manners though! I’m good on a leash and like going for walks.

Another thing I’m good with is cats and dogs! I love the cats and dogs in my foster home and foster mom says my manners with them are impeccable! My ideal home would have a confident, playful dog buddy to help boost my confidence, but it’s not a necessity. I haven’t met kids since I came into foster care, but I’m pretty sure I’ll be fine with them as I have a very gentle nature.

I’m looking for a loving family that will continue to help me overcome my shyness and adjust to all the new sights, sounds, smells and experiences my amazing new life offers! If you’re up for it, I’d love to continue my journey with you!
