Hello there my name is Fiona! I bet you think I’m a black lab, but actually I have lots of chocolate brown as well.
I’m a very sweet shy young lady. I wasn’t always treated very kindly, so if you move suddenly I may jump or shy away. Due to this, I would do best with kids 10 years and older. If you come up on me unexpectedly when I’m eating or drinking , I will jump and run to the door, then slowly come back and sit down and give you my paw , hoping you won’t hurt me. Oh yes I’m that sweet and I am slowly learning that I can now trust people.
I haven’t been in a crate yet at foster mums, because I go outside to do my business, and sleep all night without a peep. I have not had any accidents in my current foster place and have not been destructive. I like going outside in the yard and would probably not suit a condo or apartment.
Foster mum takes me on short walks and I pull a little, but she does this cute little twirl where I walk around her, and can u believe in just a short time I’m getting better-practice makes perfect when it comes to leash manners! I have passed dogs on my walk and I make this little chirpy bark.
I have not met any cats, but I would need a slow introduction to any dogs I would be expected to live with. I would do best with a calm, relaxed dog buddy who can show me the world isn’t so scary! I am still a little nervous at times, so would do best without children old enough to respect my space. I will need a home with a fenced yard please too!
I totally love chewing on all my bones, and am learning that there are these neat things called “toys”, I am not sure what they are for but Foster mum thinks I will learn something called “playing” and really like it.
To ensure you are comfortable with my quirks, I also come with a ‘behaviour credit’ for a one on one consult with one of Manitoba Mutts participating trainers!
So what do u think, could I fit in your home? I bet I could. I am full of love so come and meet me; Foster mum says the kettles always on!
XXX love Fiona
