Howdy, I’m Vernal! Also known as Vern, Loveable Lunk, Super Softie. I’m a laid back, handsome young man who marches to the beat of my own drum.

You may have met puppies who are nippy and hyper and get into trouble, but they give guys like me a bad name! Don’t get me wrong, I like to play and have fun with my canine foster sis, but I also love just chillin’ with my people or entertaining myself with a squeaky toy or bone.

I’m pretty much a master at doing my business outside, and holding it through the night! I’m still working on the crate-I’ll go in it, but I’m not a fan. Once I’m home with you and we get our regular patterns sorted, even that will be something I can take in stride.

I love the company of other doggos-I’m learning the ropes of play with my foster sister. I’ve spent some time with cats and I really wanted to make friends, but they didn’t feel the same way about me (insert sad puppy dog eyes here). I haven’t met kids yet, but I bet I’d like them! I AM super lanky, and I’m not yet in tune with my clunky limbs and how to manage them- so just like any puppy, it’s important for me to have good supervision while I get used to all the nuances of my new home!

I’ve been doing some training on ‘the leash’, but am not walking yet while I wait patiently for my final vaccinations to make the world a safe place for me to amble along at your side! In the meantime, I’m the perfect blend of independence, cuddling, and character to make you smile on the daily. Well now, that sounds pretty darn good, doesn’t it?
