Hi, I’m Shelby and I’m looking for a special retirement home.

I love my routine and would prefer a quiet home with no kids. I’m well-behaved left alone for a few hours, but might whine and howl a bit at the beginning. I will also let you know if there are any strangers outside, so apartment or condo living is not the right place for me. Ok to be honest about the well-behaved, I don’t need to be kenneled but I must admit that it’s better when you put all food out of reach as I’m a counter surfer and have a good nose to find any food that might be left out.

As you can expect from an older gentleman, I’m fully housetrained and sleep through the night on my dog bed beside foster mom.

Despite my age, I still have a lot of spunk in me when it comes to walking or feeding time and I will jump like a young puppy.

I love going for walks, but 30 minutes is enough for me at my age. I LOOOVE car rides! Expect me to be in the car before the door is even fully open!

Like many seniors, I have some minor health issues and I need to be on a special low-fat diet and one pill daily for the rest of my life. You can just throw the pill in my food and I will gobble it up. My foster mom says the medication is not pricey and can tell you all about my needs.

I lived with dogs and cats before, but I sure like being the king of the castle here and getting all the attention for myself. If you happen to have a really calm dog, that would be okay, but I really like being solo otherwise. I’m a sucker for attention so don’t be surprised if I follow you around all day. I’m the kind of dog that will take away your loneliness and insecurities and fill the void in your heart!
