Hi my name is Sheila.
When I first meet you, I may bark, growl, and possibly get a little snappy. However, if you can find space in your heart and some patience, I will soon be your best friend!
I love walks, and I have decent leash manners. I don’t need to be kept in a kennel as I am very, very good at being patient while you are away.
I am fully house trained and have never had an accident in my foster home.
I’m not too keen on toys… foster mom and dad have been trying to find something I like, but I just like being with my people. Belly rubs are by far my favourite, but any physical contact is good. Just don’t stop rubbing or I may start telling you what’s on my mind.
My foster home has two cats, one of them won’t let me pass in the hallway, but the other one I like to chase to keep him on his toes. I’m a little scared of these tiny people.. they are very loud and very fast.. I would probably do best without any in my furever home. I’ve met a few other dogs on walks, and although they don’t seem to bother me, I would probably do best being the only pup in the home. I would also do best with a fenced yard.
FYI-I am a medium sized dog with short legs (I’m only 30 pounds)!
I would do best with an experienced family, but once I let you in.. you won’t want out!
*I have an old fracture that has healed wonderfully but it has made one leg a bit shorter but I walk on it great! You can talk to the vet about putting me on glucosamine for my joint health.
