Hi I’m Micro!

Can you chew the tail off a polar bear? Tear the ears off a moose? I can! My stuffies don’t stand a chance. The squeaky ones get my ‘crazy’ going and I can get very talkative playing with them. One of the dogs I live with is a loudmouth too. Oh the barking marathons we’ve had! No apartments for me.

My foster mom says I am the sweetest little dog!! I do ok with the dogs and cats in my foster home BUT I have my quirks. I must be fed separately as I have some food aggression. Humans can move my dish or add food to it while I’m eating. I just don’t want other animals around me when I eat.

I can be of the thought that I own the couch and no other dogs should be up there with mom and I. But we are working on this!

We have some tips from a dog trainer we are implementing to help with my anxiety and improve my behaviour.

For these reasons we feel an experienced dog owner is a must for me. I may do ok in a home with the right owner and right canine companion, but would probably do best in a home where I can be king of the castle. Also, I would do better with older kids (no kids under 10).

A must have for me is a fenced yard with room to run. I tend to pull on my leash so investing in a halti or harness will save my neck and your arm.  I’m super smart and do well with both brain and physical games. Yes, I sound like an energetic handful. I AM!

But I’m also the most cuddly, loving and funny pup you’ll meet. I enjoy being brushed and I get so excited for car rides. I am foster mom’s loyal little shadow.  To make up for my quirks I can tell you I don’t need to be kennelled. And I am housetrained. I had a few oopsies the first day but I’m blaming that on -40 weather!

If you have energy, patience and love to spare I’m the big eared, short legged furball of fun for you!

*To ensure you are comfortable with my quirks, I also come with a ‘behaviour credit’ for a one on one consult with one of Manitoba Mutts participating trainers!
