Hi, I’m Shelby.

I’m a six-year-old quiet couch potato who loves getting head scritches! I also love to snuggle, I’ve been known to fall asleep on my foster pawrents’ chest.

I was adopted as a kitten through Manitoba Mutts! I was spotted at the dump trying to crawl into a milk jug, grumpy cute face first! (Did you know, cows milk isn’t good for kittens and cats?? But I was hungry!) I was rescued and adopted quickly.

Recently, and very sadly for me, both of my owners passed away. Family and friends made the difficult decision to return me to MB Mutts for my best chance at a second forever home.

My foster parents have been giving me space and time to grieve with lots of wet food and a warm friendly lap. They love me lots. When people come into the home, I always want to be in the know and meet them. But because I was an only cat, I didn’t learn to like other cats, so if you do have any other cats, please be patient and give me a very slow introduction.

I have been hanging out a lot with 2 doggies watching lots of hockey playoffs. I’m a bit of a sensitive girl but I am always up for a wonderful hug.

I have met kids and they are just fine with me.

I am fully litter-trained and use a scratching post no problem. I enjoy wet food, small mouse toys and a window for bird watching. In a nutshell, I’m an older gal with some pep still in her step, looking for a bit more quiet of a home.
