Howdy! The name’s Jim, and I can’t tell you how lucky I feel to be appealing to you from Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue!
To put it mildly, I had a rough go of it before coming here. I was eking out a meagre existence in a farmyard when one day I was attacked by a ferocious dog from a neighbouring farm. I managed to escape by the skin of my teeth with just a nasty chomp to one leg, but that bite got infected and I was in pretty sorry shape for awhile there. Thankfully, Manitoba Mutts took me in and patched me up, and now I’ve made a complete recovery.
These days I spend a lot of time lounging! My favourite spot is in the master bedroom, but I’m also content to lounge on the couch, the floor, or on the belly of any available human. Now that I’ve got a taste of the good life, I’m quite invested in the idea of living indoors for all of the rest of my days. I love me some head scritches, a warm cozy living room, and a big bowl of kibble. Between you and me, hunting mice was never really my thing. In fact, the other day one walked by while I was lounging on a dining chair, and I failed to get myself organized in time to do anything about it.So if you have a barn you desperately need to keep pest-free, maybe we’re not a match. But if you have a comfy chesterfield and you want a loyal companion to help you keep it warm, snuggling up beside you and occasionally drooling on your knee, then I’m your guy! I’m friendly and charming, a good eater, a champ in the litterbox, and a good sport about living with other cats. (I’m not fond of dogs though, for perhaps obvious reasons.)
I know I’ve made a few demands here, but I think I’m worth it! Wait till you see how soft I am, and how charming and handsome! My picture doesn’t even do me justice. Give me a chance and I promise I’ll be your very best buddy!
