I was living outside before I came to Manitoba Mutts and I’d never had much contact with humans, so I’m still working on becoming your perfect pet. I’ve come a long way in the few short weeks I’ve been living with my foster family!
When I was first rescued, I was terrified of people and spent most of my time cowering under an ottoman. Soon enough though, I was persuaded to come out to explore. I absolutely love food and delight in playing with toys, so I put aside my reservations about my new surroundings in order to indulge those passions. Slowly I worked my way up from eating my dinner with humans nearby, to eating treats out of their hands, to letting them pet me while eating.

These days I sleep at the foot of my foster human’s bed, and I purr like crazy when she pets me. I’m not quite ready to be picked up yet, but I’m getting there! I’m growing braver, friendlier, more curious, and more trusting with every passing day.

Are you the person to bring me out of my shell? I promise I’m worth it! I have the shiniest, sleekest, softest coat and the most adorable chirp in all the land. I get along brilliantly with other cats and I won over the two bigger cats in my foster home immediately. I’m always cuddled up to them, and I try to follow their example for how to act around people.

I’m looking for someone with a lot of patience and kindness who can help me become the sweet, mellow furball I know I can be. I’m so grateful to have been rescued – the first time you see me try to pounce on a feather-stick, you’ll realize I never would have made it on my own outdoors – and eventually I’m going to be some human’s very best friend.
