Hi. I’m Tequila! I’m a fun, cuddly and active girl! Foster Dad says I’m perfect.

I love playing with my foster human brothers and enjoy running around the yard with them. I do still like to nip at their feet and ankles (and arms and hands if they are on the ground) but I’m pretty quick at stopping when I’m redirected with a stick or toy. I am just a puppy still so need to be watched with smaller kids, but I do love them and will cuddle in bed with my human foster brothers during their bedtime book! I also love cuddling with my foster Mom and Dad once I’m tired out – I give them lots of kisses and love to just relax where they are.

I had a super fun play weekend with another puppy and adult dog and I loved it! It took a few minutes for me to warm up to them and realize I was safe but once I did, it was a party and I played all day!

I haven’t met cats yet so I’m not sure how I would do around them. I’m typically pretty scared at first of other animals so would probably just need to warm up to them.

I am working on being housetrained, I usually find my pee pad and use them but also sometimes I am so busy that I forget and I just go where I am and since I’m pretty quiet I haven’t used my voice to let anyone know that I need to go yet! Maybe a bell would work?!

I am fully crate trained and usually sleep all night in there! I do hang out in a pen a lot during the day but foster Mom has trusted me more and more and I’m allowed to wander the house. So far, I’ve only eaten two socks and haven’t had a chance to chew up anything else.

I just cuddle on my blanket near my foster mom and sleep! I am a very smart girl and I have learned how to “sit”, “lay-down” and “stay” so far.

I am a husky mix who will need lots of activity and challenges to burn up my energy! Maybe the dog park or lots of runs or biking? Will you be the one to take me on adventures and teach me new tricks?

NOTE: For the next couple months it is important that I am only in contact with fully vaccinated dogs because I came into the care of Manitoba Mutts with parvovirus. I am fully recovered and there are no long-term health issues related to parvovirus, though it can continue to be shed in my poop for the next couple months. Please ask the MMDR Adoption Team and my foster family if you want more information about this. I am a Super Trooper:https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=424106969073468&set=a.1547771171966880&type=3
