ADOPTION PENDING – NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

Hi, I’m Dusty! I’m a gentle giant who always wants to be close! 

Some of my favourite hobbies are lying on whatever is on the floor, even if it’s much too small for me, going to the dog park, and resting my head in your lap, even while I’m lying on the floor. 

I’m a really well-behaved guy, but I do have some demands. I need my new family to spend lots of time with me and take me on adventures. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind staying home alone. I don’t even need a kennel because I’ll just sleep, but I might get into a garbage or 2 if you don’t give me a chance to explore other things. I would also love it if my new family would take me to the dog park. My recall needs a little bit of work, but I love playing with all dogs and have never had an issue! 

My foster family thinks I would be ok with cats too, but they’ve never tried it, so a slow introduction would be necessary. 

I’m also good with kids, as long as the kids don’t mind a big dog. If their head is close to my head level, they might get lots of kisses, but I don’t jump, so only the power of my kisses would knock them over! 

I pull on the leash when I go for walks because I just want to go see everything. My foster family says I’ve been getting a lot better, but when there’s a dog that I don’t get to say hi to, I tend to forget everything I learn, which means I bark and pull a lot. And as much as I don’t like it, my foster family will probably tell you to get me a Halti to make walking easier. I will admit that it has been helping me learn. 

I’m a big baby who love belly rubs and will tolerate basically anything. All I ask is for a family who will love me just as much as I love them!
