Hi, my name is Lexi.  I’m a curious fun loving snuggly dog who is starting to adjust to life in a home and in the city.  

Walk, did you say WALK? I love going for walks, I get so excited as soon as I see my leash and harness, I just want to go explore the outside world.  Please be patient with me as I have been working so hard on walking politely, but there are so many smells out there, I want to know what all of them are!  My foster family thinks it would be a great idea if I were to have a fenced in yard.  I am not always careful when I smell all those glorious smells out there and I do need some work on my recall!

I love to play fetch, run and chase. Sometimes I don’t realize my size and I can get a bit excited and mouthy, so perhaps a home with older children (older than 8 years) would be best.  I am working on being gentle, just ask foster mom.   

I’m the only pet at my foster family’s home, but I do like to play with the neighbour’s dog!! If you have a dog, a nice proper introduction is best. I haven’t met a cat yet but that squirrel in the backyard is very interesting, so it would probably be best if we had a proper introduction to a cat too. 

I am fully housetrained, and will let you know when I need to go out.  I’m not a fan of the kennel and prefer to sleep by your side at night.  Foster mom says I have been a good girl when left alone, although I sometimes get bored, leaving some stuffed Kongs and treats around really helps with my boredom.  

I have been working really hard on my training, I can sit, and I have almost mastered down, come, stay, leave it and shake a paw, I am a real fast learner especially when there are treats involved.
