Sponsor a Mutt
We often hear people say “I would love to foster, but I can’t right now” and are looking for other ways to help out. A great way to help is by sponsoring a dog.
Our sponsorship program is for dogs who require special attention – whether that be surgery/medication to help them get healthy or behavioural/social to help overcome their issues and become a family pet.
If you cannot foster a dog, become a virtual foster through sponsoring. You can help contribute towards the costs of their overall wellbeing and safety. Without you, we couldn’t give these dogs the second chance they so deserve. View our sponsor mutts
A donation in memory of a cherished companion, family member or friend is a meaningful way for you to express your sympathy. Please be assured that your donation will help our rescue continue to save animals across Manitoba. At Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue, we believe every dog deserves to be treated as a cherished member of the family, and we do our best to provide as many dogs from our province with this experience. An in Memoriam donation will go towards the many needs of the animals in our care, such as veterinary care, food, leashes and other necessary items.
Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue will send the bereaved family a special In Memoriam card, acknowledging your donation. The card identifies the donor and will include a message of sympathy.
Is a friend or family member celebrating something special? Looking for that perfect gift for that special someone or a unique gift for that hard to buy for person? Why not consider a donation to Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue as a way to commemorate any special occasion:

What else can I do to help?
We are always in need of cash donations. Most of these donations go to paying off vet bills. We completely understand that monetary donations are not an option for some people and are often asked "how else can I help?". We are always in need of kind souls to help with various tasks.
What kind of donations do you need?
• Dog & Puppy Food (we always prefer puppy food as most of the dogs that come to us are starved and need the fat content of puppy food in order to put on weight)
• Dog Kennels, new or used, our dogs don't mind
• Dog Collars & Leashes, new or used.
• Paper Towels
• Newspaper & Puppy Pads (for training puppies)
• Dog toys and treats
• Kiddie Pool (for our mommas with puppies)
• Baby gates
• Advertising donations, prize donations (for events), and other various donations.
How can I volunteer?
Because we are completely foster based it is difficult to have a set volunteer schedule, but our voluteers are still very important to us. There are many ways in which you can help.
• Picking up dogs from the airport
• Driving dogs from foster houses to the vet
• Bringing dogs to adoption fairs that their fosters cannot attend
• Helping at adoption fairs - watching puppies, taking dogs out for bathroom breaks, selling merchandise, answering questions, etc.
• Helping out at our of town adoption fairs, transporting dogs, etc.
• Being a "temp foster home" - holding a dog or puppies for a few days until a suitable foster is found
And finally, word of mouth. Spreading the word about Manitoba Mutts is the best donation you can give us.
