I’m a very energetic puppy, who loves playing. I absolutely love tug-of-war!  I’m pretty good at playing by myself.

I am still a baby so I’m teething. I am trying to learn not to bite everything and everyone I see. For this reason I would be better with older children.

I am working on my housetraining, and doing very well with pee pads too.  

Bonus- I am crate trained and sleep through the night. 

I am good with all people, I haven’t been tested with cats or children, but I love other dogs and play very nicely with them.

I am learning my leash skills and I’m doing really well- I love walks. I like to jump, so I get up on things most other puppies can’t. I love to be with my people, and will keep you on your toes – like most babies!

I am a very sweet, absolutely adorable little girl, a little mischievous but then aren’t most puppies! 
I am ready for my forever home, so I can share all my love forever with you!

I’m housetrained and working on crate  training, but I’d rather play with my toys and wait for my people to return. In a couple of weeks I’ve learned sit, down and shake so I’m a pretty smart guy. I’ve learned what walks are and I love them, but I also listen very well when I’m free and mom calls me back. I’m still learning the ropes of being an indoor dog so I need some time to adjust with patience and guidance (I can be a little unsure of the world at times).

I love kids of all ages but because I haven’t quite learned yet how big I am, little ones should have their feet planted around me or I might knock them over. I’ve loved all the dogs I’ve met and would love to have a friend to play with!

My foster mom keeps talking about personal space but I’m not a huge fan of that…I’d rather lay on your lap or feet as I just want to be close to you, especially if you are watching tv (DogTV is my favorite).

I’m a loyal, entertaining guy who would love to hang out with a family I can call my own (and hopefully a home with lots of toys!). I promise to keep you laughing with my antics, and warm with all my snuggles.

I’m a fun, spunky and smart boy who loves learning new things and settling down with a good chew.  I’m housetrained and crate trained.  I’m playful and energetic and getting the hang of focusing that enthusiasm onto my toys.

I like other dogs and cats are cool too, still figuring them out.  Sometimes it takes me a little bit to warm up to new people, but I love treats and that’s an easy way to win me over.  Older kids are more my speed, fast movements and shrill voices can get me really excited and I’m still working on my manners.

I like going for walks, getting out and seeing the world is helping me build confidence and it’s another chance to earn yummy treats!

I’m really a sweet and sensitive soul who would love to learn with you and be your best bud.  Is there room for me in your family?

I am fully housetrained and I LOVE my crate – I go in it for naps on my own and when my foster mom isn’t home. I also really like to spend time training and learning new things, I would benefit from an experienced dog owner. I have some anxiety and fear of strangers that I am currently taking medication for, therefore apartment style living is not ideal for me.

I live with a cat, and wouldn’t mind living with one who is dog savvy. I have a bit too much energy around kids and I still need a lot of supervision. Kids older than 12 would be best.

I love playing with other dogs but I don’t know when to stop playing so if there is another dog in your home, they will need to tell me when to stop. I do a lot better at building a routine when there are no other dogs living with me but I do great with dogs on play dates. So, it’s best I don’t live with a dog full time. Sometimes I need reminders to be gentle and polite as I’m still learning.

I used to be nervous on walks but I am doing so much better! I don’t pull on my leash, but sometimes when I see other dogs, I bark because out of excitement – treats are a great way to redirect me.

I also loooove all water, sprinklers, hoses, showers and will most definitely try to jump in the bath every time it is on!

I am a very active puppy who would love to find a forever family where I can share energy, loyalty and tail wags!

NOTE: I am on a special GI vet food and tolerate it very well. I have some anxiety so I am taking fluoxetine medication and it has helped me so much. It costs about $60 a month. Please ask our vetting team or my foster parent for more details.

I am kennel trained and sleep in there quite often as it is left open in my area but I definitely don’t turn down an invite to cuddle in the bed with my foster dad. I can successfully go 6 hours in my area without an accident. I am a vocal girl with woo woos, growls and barks as I learn my voice and when I’m allowed to use it. Apartment style living is not ideal for me.

I’ve met some children and dogs and am unsure at first meetings but soon get over my apprehension. My foster mom says I am extremely smart and will need an active, experienced family to help focus my energy on positive outcomes. I will likely benefit from being tasked with activities such as fly ball or agility. Due to my Shepherd qualities, I tend to nip ankles and calves, but I am trying to learn not to do this. For now, younger children are not a good fit.

Oh ya one last thing, we found out I have some seasonal allergies. I’m currently taking some medication every second day to help with that. Feel free to ask our vetting team for more information.

I love squeaky toys, car rides, snuggling and going for walks. If you let me, I would love to sleep in your bed at night and keep you nice and cozy, but I’m also comfortable in my kennel, even when you go away! Even though I am housetrained and very rarely chew on things I’m not supposed to, my foster parents don’t quite trust me in the house alone, but since my kennel is my safe space, I don’t mind!

I love all people, but I do get pretty excited when I first meet them and might jump. My foster parents have been working on this lots and I am learning quickly!

I absolutely love going for walks, but I’m not too sure about other dogs, so I need a pretty slow introduction. With some persistence, my foster parents hope I grow out of that! I have lived with other dogs and managed to get along well once we knew each other.

I’ve been working hard on my leash manners and have improved so much my foster parents say I’m almost perfect!

I’m not too sure what recall is, because my foster parents haven’t tested it on me, but I love to please, so I think with some practice I could be good at that too!

If you come meet me, I’m pretty sure you won’t want to go home without me!

*I came to Manitoba Mutts with a small skull fracture when I was 6 weeks old. My foster family has been helping me by normalizing touching my head and face. I am doing so great now, but to be safe, I may be better with older children (over 10 years old) who can understand. Chip can be very cuddly, but on his own terms.

Medical note:
Chip has mild hip dysplasia in his right hip. No surgical intervention is necessary at this point. For now, he will need pain management on days he is sore. Currently, Chip’s hips are feeling great and no medication is being used. Please ask our vetting team for more details.

Hey there!
I’m Zeus, a smart, sensitive, and oh-so-goofy boy looking for my forever family! I may struggle a bit with alone time, but with your love and patience, I know I can adjust. I love my humans and would do best with someone who is home a fair bit! A fenced yard would be a dream come true for my zoomie sessions!

I might be a tad shy at first, but once I warm up, I’m all about playtime and pets. Just give me a little time to get used to new faces, and I’ll be your best bud in no time!

While I love making friends with other doggos, I can be a bit much for them sometimes, so a slow introduction is key. I have lived with another dog previously and it went well!

Now, about those feline friends… let’s just say I’m more of a ‘chase’ enthusiast, so a cat-free zone would suit me just fine. And with kids, I prefer the older, more chill variety who understand my need for a gentle approach. (Kids older than 14 is best)

You see, I came from a situation where I wasn’t socialized with humans so I have trust issues. I have bonded with my foster mom, it took about a week and a half for me to allow her to touch me willingly. I’m still quite timid around my foster dad and steer clear of him as much as I can, I won’t even eat if he’s in the room. I require a home without children under 5 and pawrents who understand that I will need space and lots of time to get comfortable and that I may never fully trust humans.

I’m great with cats and really adore dogs. I MUST have another dog in my furever home as they help immensely with my confidence. I am about 80% housetrained, I still have accidents. I sleep quietly in a crate at night beside my foster mom’s bed, but I do have separation anxiety if I’m in a kennel when you leave the house, the kennel tends not to be where you left it, but I’m still inside!

I will need a secure fenced yard as I am a potential flight risk when there are loud noises, and would be very difficult to catch if I got free.

My foster mom has attempted to take me on a walk, but I don’t enjoy it, in fact, I barely move, but she’ll keep trying! When I’m outside I need a secure harness or martingale collar so that I can’t slip out of it. So far I am very content to be a house dog relaxing on the couch, or running around with my foster siblings.

I have fun puppy energy, and really enjoy playing tug-o-war, chewing on bones, and throwing around stuffies. I also have been known to steal a shoe or two… 

If you’re ready for a challenge, and have the patience to give me time to get to know you, then I am ready to meet you, sorta… At the very least, I’ll let my foster mama put me in your lap.

I am being fostered in Steinbach, but you know what they say, it’s worth the trip.

I love a good game of catch, and fetching a tennis ball is one of my favourite pastimes. I’m not all fun and games though. I can’t pass up a good snuggle with you on the couch when I’m feeling sleepy and cuddly.

BONUS: If you’re looking for a dog who is house trained, crate trained, great with dogs and cats, and quite respectful with kids, I’m your guy! (kids over 8 is best). Another bonus is that my leash manners are fantastic and my recall is great!

There are a couple things I need a little help with, so I’m hoping my new family will have past experience with dogs. I’m challenged with a bit of resource guarding around food, so if you have other dogs or cats, it’s best you keep us apart when I eat, or when you’re preparing food. I’m also a really vocal guy, especially if I’m frustrated when I can’t get what I want, whether it’s a toy, another dog, attention, or a treat. A little work on my impulse control will definitely help this! Because I really like to talk, I’m not suited to apartment or condo living, so I need a house, preferably with a good sized yard so we can play fetch together! I also don’t really like it when someone bothers me when I’m sleeping or laying quietly, but if you give me a treat when you want me to move, I’ll happily comply!

I am still learning to do my business outside but I am pretty good at using the paper. I am also working on being crate trained. I like the kennel- but I am still too little to be left in it all day.

I am good with other dogs and I like to play with my sister. I have not met any cats yet, but I am sure I will be fine with them. I was pretty nervous around the toddlers that I met, but I let them gently pet me.

I do not have enough vaccines to go on walks yet, but I do like playing outside in the yard and exploring.

I really like to play with toys with my sister and wiggle across the floor on my belly to play with my foster mom. It is quite cute.
Later in the evening, I like to snooze on the couch while my foster mom relaxes. I am good little cuddler.
